Dating a colombian man

Catholicism doesn’t get in the way too much of having a good time in Colombia .It’s a modern country and full of life though it’s traditional to get to know someone gradually.Although my own experience of dating in Colombia is really pretty limited (sob), I’ve canvassed friends of both sexes and have compiled a brief list of tips for him and tips for her in order to avoid heartbreak, dodge the STIs and have yourself a merry little Christmas.Girls are very unlikely to approach you, or make the first move.Meeting Colombian men as a foreign woman won't be a challenge in the slightest.Your exotic hair, accent and questionable dance moves will attract a great deal of (sometimes unwanted) attention, whether you're out or just on a bus.

So here it goes, by search term: Colombian Pickup Lines: So many. If you mean Colombian pickup lines as you walk down the street, you can expect romantic terms such as: Mamita, mami, mamasota, gordita (fatty, but in a nice way), mona (used for whitish person) negrita (used for brown person), estas muy linda (you’re beautiful), estas muy buena (looking good), que ojos, Dios Mio (My God, what eyes! I am, of course, speaking from a woman’s perspective (a mona, gordita with a large culaso, perspective, that is)…I’m not too what kind of pickup lines Colombian women use on men, just that they probably end in –ito or -tico.

There are plenty of exceptions of course but as a rule of thumb it’s fairly true.

You get the feeling that men never really grow up here.

Most of these have to do with Colombian men, so my blog will briefly be revisiting my days in Colombia.

I am by no means an expert on Colombian men, but I think my time and experiences in Colombia make me knowledgeable on the subject.
