I want to make i Tunes the default audio player on my computer but I keep getting an error within i Tunes that says: "An error occurred while updating the default player for audio file types.

I have tried right clicking on mp3 files and then selecting Open With/Choose Program/i Tunes.

Also, I have tried Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs/Set Program Access and Defaults/Custom , where I selected- Mozilla Firefox as my default browser- i Tunes as my default media player.

After connecting i Phone with i Tunes, I got an error message showing ” An unknown error occurred (53) “.
